This scheme involved a major redevelopment and refurbishment for Aston University.
The contract saw us overhaul part of the Main Building at the University’s campus, which remained operational during the works.
It involved remodelling existing under-utilised space in the building and transforming it into new labs for the University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, which will utilise the space for research into fibre optic communication.
Works included internal demolition, stripping out of existing services and the creation of new rooms and lab spaces, including a clean room.

Works to the live University environment included the remodelling of teaching rooms, offices, store rooms and engineering workshops, including installation of internal walls, doors, finishes and M&E services.
Works to specialist laboratories included wet labs, synthetic labs, gas bottle manifold rooms, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment, polymer processing; all including highly serviced M&E spaces with fume cupboards and specialist equipment.
The building remained functional throughout our programme, which was designed to cause minimal disruption to the University.
