“We appointed Clegg to help us complete the Gilder’s Yard scheme following the unfortunate collapse of a previous main contractor, leaving a partially completed frame. This logistically complex, inner-city project, which began during the COVID-19 pandemic, was by no means challenge-free, with industry-wide supply chain difficulties and government-enforced restrictions to contend with. However, as a result of Clegg’s resilient, collaborative, and committed approach we have been rewarded with a high-quality development. We’re pleased to see the new office space completed ready for Highways England to complete the internal fit-out. Despite construction beginning during the first lockdown, all works were completed on time and budget, which is a real testament to the dedication of Clegg Construction and the team.  

Construction projects are always a challenge at the best of times, but with a fairly constrained site, working in a live environment and then the challenges of Covid-19, I have been very pleased with how Clegg has managed this project. It has been a first experience for me personally working with Clegg, and I am more than happy to say it was a great experience. I am extremely pleased with the finished building, and already I have read very positive comments on our social media postings.  

It was truly a fantastic achievement by Clegg under the current market conditions and restrictions. Well done all! I think we can all claim this to be one of the most beautiful and historic student schemes to be delivered in the UK for 2020.
