Design & Build

The Design and Construction of a new care home comprising 54 en-suite rooms and associated facilities inlcuidng day rooms, life skills kitchens, hairdressing salon, reception area and extensive landscaped gardens. The project was undertaken in partnership with Cinnamon Care Collection.

SITE CHALLENGES

The new building has been designed to complement the existing accommodation, an extended country-style Victorian House. The existing home remained open during the year-long programme; we implemented measures to ensure we minimised disruption in the sensitive and tranquil environment, particularly for residents who may become distressed by noise.

The new facility, designed for residents with specific care needs, including dementia, opened in autumn 2017.


ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL VALUE

Whilst on site, we assisted the home in numerous ways, including:
  • Helping with the home’s annual charity fete, including providing signage, carrying out general repairs, assisting in traffic management and contributing raffle prizes
  • Organised a time capsule event with a local primary school
