Completion for leading hotel chain

08 July 2021

A hotel project at Stockley Park in Uxbridge has completed and value hotelier Travelodge has moved in.

Located adjacent to the Arena Building the three-story hotel development comprises of 81 bedrooms with a reception, bar, and café facilities as well as back of house areas.

Dave Swift, contracts manager at Clegg Construction, said: “We are delighted to have completed the newest addition to the Stockley Park offering. The park has a great combination of retail and leisure spaces, so the Travelodge hotel perfectly complements this mix.

“It was a great project to work on with partial demolition and clearance of the stepped access and planting areas to the first-floor walkway level. We also undertook the structural strengthening of part of the arena to allow the weight of the new building to be supported.

“This development is a strong addition to our hospitality sector portfolio. Our extensive knowledge and understanding of this sector has ensured that the hotel not only meets the client’s expectations but also fits seamlessly with the rest of the park.”

The design for the Stockley Park Travelodge hotel was delivered by Urban Edge Architects and the project team included Marick Project Services as project manager, Mercer & Miller as quantity surveyors and Bridges Pound as the structural engineers.
