Clegg Construction has broken ground on a new £35m student accommodation scheme in Leeds, consisting of 402 purpose built studios – just next door to where the company is currently delivering a 185-apartment build-to-rent development.
About The Fabric Works
The Fabric Works is being delivered in partnership with PPG Leeds Ltd, a joint venture between Primus Property Group and HIG Capital, and has involved the demolition of two buildings and a basement car park on Leylands Road to make way for an 11-storey purpose-built student accommodation building.
Students living in The Fabric Works will benefit from an industry leading amenity offering - integrating the latest technology, and aiming to provide students with a safe and inclusive community environment in which to live, study, and play.
The building’s exterior will benefit from an elegant architectural composition that was well received through planning, and responds to the local and wider context - taking cues from the historical buildings and street patterns of the surrounding area - paying homage to Mabgate’s rich industrial history. A BREAAM ‘Very Good'
rating is targeted.
