Environmental sustainability is a core principle at Clegg Construction. Through strategic planning, sustainable practices, effective carbon management, and collaborative efforts, we are dedicated to playing a key role in the transition to a low-carbon future. Our proactive approach and the use of science-based targets not only supports the UK’s net zero ambitions but also reflects our broader commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
All our activities are supported by our ISO14001-accredited Environmental Management System, which supports the systematic management of our environmental responsibilities in the areas of reducing waste, conserving resources, and minimising pollution.
With a carbon reduction plan in place to support Clegg’s target to achieve Net Zero by 2050, we also support members of our supply chain in developing their carbon journeys. We also participate in business-to-business collaboration with strategic partners; these forums are designed to enhance all parties understanding of sustainable construction techniques and building service strategies and how these contribute to the journey towards net zero.
Promoting biodiversity
Recognising the critical importance of preserving and enriching biodiversity and green spaces, our projects often include the creation or enhancement of habitats and green areas, helping to promote ecological balance and improving the quality of life for local people, fauna, and flora.
