Trent Bridge - New Stands

Design & Build

We enjoy a great partnership with the long-established Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and in recent years have completed three schemes together at Trent Bridge.

Surrounded by major roads into the centre of Nottingham city with strict programmes planned in line with the sporting season, we have successfully completed three schemes for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

Bridgford Road stand

This project comprised the demolition of an existing stand and construction of a new stand to seat over 2,000 spectators.

The works included high specification, fully integrated M&E installation to link the development with the four permanent floodlights surrounding the pitch, a state of the art replay screen and software as well as links to Sky TV and other broadcast media and match control including Crowd Surveillance, CCTV, Police and Ambulance services. We also constructed a new electrical substation.

During demolition, all non-concrete materials were removed and recycled where possible and the concrete was crushed to form the haul road which loops the outfield to enable deliveries to reach the site once construction began. Seats from the old stand were donated to local sports clubs and the small scoreboard was relocated for use at another local ground. In addition to the construction of the new stand, an extension was added at the front of the Fox Road stand to provide 500 additional seats. The installation of cable ducts around the edge of the playing area for the new striking permanent floodlights and television broadcasting equipment were completed early in the build to ensure turf could be relayed and used for practice by players prior to the season starting.

Fox Road stand

This project involved the demolition of the existing stand on the Fox Road side of the Trent Bridge cricket ground, which was then replaced by a larger stand.

Holding 2,300 spectators, the new facility, which features a state of the art aircraft wing roof, extends the ground to receive over 15,000 cricket fans.

Winter Works

These out of season works included the strip out and refurbishment of the umpires changing room to provide a new state of the art facility leading onto the pitch and high quality fittings and finishing and M&E. We also undertook external works to provide a new club shop, secure parking, drainage and Sky TV Camera points.
