Time capsule burial at Burcot Grange

22 September 2017

Primary schoolchildren have buried a time capsule to celebrate a new £4.6m care home.

Pupils at Blackwell First School in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, decided what the time capsule should contain and buried it in the grounds of The Lodge at Burcot Grange.

Included inside the time capsule was a school calendar, some school books, a new £1 coin, a photo of Princess Charlotte and Price George, a fidget spinner, a newspaper and photos of Blackwell School.

Vicky Osborne, General Manager of The Lodge at Burcot Grange, said: "We are privileged to have had the opportunity to involve Blackwell First School children in the burial of the time capsule to celebrate the construction of our new luxury care home, which is very near completion."
Clegg Construction started work on the care home in August 2016 after it was awarded the contract by Cinnamon Care Capital.

It will provide 54 en-suite bedrooms along with a hairdressing salon, coffee shop, reception area and landscaped gardens.

The building is adjacent to the existing care home The Grange at Burcot operated by the Cinnamon Care Collection.
