yORKSHIRE TEAMS KEPT BUSY BY SEVERAL NEW AWARDS 


 

Clegg Construction is pleased to announce it has been awarded two contracts in Yorkshire worth more than £14million.

This includes an £8million contract at Solly Street, Sheffield for Listed Student Accommodation provider, Empiric Student Property. The scheme involves the design and construction of 107 student rooms in four separate blocks. The programme will be completed during summer 2017, in readiness for the next academic year.

University accommodation specialist Clegg Construction has already delivered more than 1200 student accommodation units in Sheffield over the last seven years, with an aggregate value of £44million. We have also just completed a £3.5million scheme for the University of Sheffield to provide an extension to its Casting Technology Institute, which provides the largest ceramic mould facility in Europe.

We have also been appointed to deliver a £6.3million headquarters building at Calder Park, Wakefield for OE Electrics, which designs and manufactures power and data distribution units across commercial sectors including office, education, leisure and healthcare.

This includes fast USB charging as well as providing support to major stock exchanges around the world in order to keep them working in case of power interruptions. The 65,000 sq ft building includes offices, research and development, advanced manufacturing and warehousing facilities is scheduled to be complete early 2017.
