Joining in 2002 and becoming Managing Director two years later, Simon takes a hands-on approach to the daily running of Clegg Construction.
One of three business owners, Simon is responsible for the development of our business strategy and promoting a collaborative culture which transcends through the organisation. A fundamental aspect of his role is being visible and available to clients and staff to provide ongoing support.
His interests include travel, cooking, shooting clays and country walks with his wife and their Labrador.
Tim is responsible for the operational management of the business, ensuring effective project delivery leading to complete client satisfaction.
With 35 years’ experience, he steers his teams to deliver exceptional levels of service. Tim drives improvement throughout the business, including implementing extensive staff training and the further development of our Quality Management Systems.
Tim enjoys spending time with his children, is a keen football fan, and loves classic Volkswagens.
Steve has overall responsibility for the commercial and risk management functions of Clegg Construction.
With over 42 years’ experience in surveying and commercial management, he leads his team to provide fair, accurate and real-time cost information to clients and conduct fair relations with our supply chain.
With a BSc in Quantity Surveying, he is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Grandchildren and a love of football take up much of his spare time.
Operating from our Leeds office, John develops and grows the business in the North of England, with a key part of his role involving raising the profile and visibility of the company in the region.
With his 40 years of industry experience, he has an in-depth understanding of client aspirations and is able to work with the wider team to bring these forward.
Away from work, John enjoys extending and improving residential property and is a keen skier.
Gary spent over 25 years’ in the Army before embarking on a career in construction health and safety in 2002. He is responsible for the strategic management of all areas of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.
Through Gary’s commitment and leadership, Clegg Construction has continued to maintain an above industry standard health and safety record, surpassed challenging waste recycling targets, enforced robust environmental safeguarding procedures and delivered client quality aspirations.
Gary holds a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health and is a Chartered Member of IOSH.
When he isn’t ensuring a safe and clean environment, Gary’s interests include travel, fishing and supporting local village activities.
