Joining in 2002 and becoming Managing Director two years later, Simon takes a hands-on approach to the daily running of Clegg Construction.
One of three business owners, Simon is responsible for the development of our business strategy and promoting a collaborative culture which transcends through the organisation. A fundamental aspect of his role is being visible and available to clients and staff to provide ongoing support.
His interests include travel, cooking, shooting clays and country walks with his wife and their Labrador.
Michael has overall responsibility for the commercial and risk management functions of Clegg Construction.
With over 20 years' experience in surveying and commercial management, Michael has extensive commercial and construction knowledge across a range of sectors on Design and Build, Framework and Traditional projects. He ensures his team provide an accurate, client-focussed and practical approach to the commercial management of projects and conduct fair relations with our supply chain.
His interests include coaching junior football, watching most sports, travel and walking the dog with his wife and children.
Ross is responsible for new business development, pre-construction functions and frameworks at Clegg Construction.
With a background in Project Managent and Surveying his project experience includes residential, leisure, public sector, retail, F&B and commercial development.
He leads a pre-construction team that includes estimating, planning, business development and marketing in order to secure new work for Clegg Construction and to maintain and extend existing client relationships.
Operating from our Leeds office, John develops and grows the business in the North of England, with a key part of his role involving raising the profile and visibility of the company in the region.
With his 40 years of industry experience, he has an in-depth understanding of client aspirations and is able to work with the wider team to bring these forward.
Away from work, John enjoys extending and improving residential property and is a keen skier.
Working between our Nottingham and Cambridge office, Mark is responsible for the growth of new business throughout the Midlands and East of England. A key part to Mark’s role is developing relationships with clients and increasing the market awareness of all sectors Clegg Construction work in.
Over the last twelve years in working in the construction industry he has been involved on various education, manufacturing, residential and logistics projects; this has helped Mark gain useful insight into our various clients’ aspirations and project drivers.
Gary spent over 25 years’ in the Army before embarking on a career in construction health and safety in 2002. He is responsible for the strategic management of all areas of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.
Through Gary’s commitment and leadership, Clegg Construction has continued to maintain an above industry standard health and safety record, surpassed challenging waste recycling targets, enforced robust environmental safeguarding procedures and delivered client quality aspirations.
Gary holds a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health and is a Chartered Member of IOSH.
When he isn’t ensuring a safe and clean environment, Gary’s interests include travel, fishing and supporting local village activities.
