Joining in 2002 and becoming Managing Director two years later, Simon takes a hands-on approach to the daily running of Clegg Construction.
One of three business owners, Simon is responsible for the development of our business strategy and promoting a collaborative culture which transcends through the organisation. A fundamental aspect of his role is being visible and available to clients and staff to provide ongoing support.
His interests include travel, cooking, shooting clays and country walks with his wife and their Labrador.
Tim is responsible for the operational management of the business, ensuring effective project delivery leading to complete client satisfaction.
With 35 years’ experience, he steers his teams to deliver exceptional levels of service. Tim drives improvement throughout the business, including implementing extensive staff training and the further development of our Quality Management Systems.
Tim enjoys spending time with his children, is a keen football fan, and loves classic Volkswagens.
Michael has overall responsibility for the commercial and risk management functions of Clegg Construction.
With over 20 years' experience in surveying and commercial management, Michael has extensive commercial and construction knowledge across a range of sectors on Design and Build, Framework and Traditional projects. He ensures his team provide an accurate, client-focussed and practical approach to the commercial management of projects and conduct fair relations with our supply chain.
His interests include coaching junior football, watching most sports, travel and walking the dog with his wife and children.
Steve has overall responsibility for all Framework activity at Clegg Construction.
He is currently mobilising our Cambridge office, from which we will deliver works for Scape Group's Regional Construction framework. He is delighted with the opportunity this Framework has given the business to build on its collaborative approach and to work with its peer group contractors to drive continuous improvement and deliver exceptional customer service.
Family and a passion for football take up much of his spare time.
Working from our Cambridge office, Rachel leads our position on the Scape Group Regional Construction framework and develops the business in the east of England.
Rachel has over 30 years' experience in the construction industry, and utilises her consultative approach to develop new customer relationships across our target sectors in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
She enjoys spending time with her son, watching rugby, walking and running in the East Anglian Countryside.
Neal is based in our Nottingham office maintaining existing, as well as building and developing new customer collaborative relationships in target sectors covering both the East and West Midlands.
Away from work, Neal enjoys country walks with his wife, taking their faithful hound along as well and generally finishing at or very close to a local hostelry.
Operating from our Leeds office, John develops and grows the business in the North of England, with a key part of his role involving raising the profile and visibility of the company in the region.
With his 40 years of industry experience, he has an in-depth understanding of client aspirations and is able to work with the wider team to bring these forward.
Away from work, John enjoys extending and improving residential property and is a keen skier.
Gary spent over 25 years’ in the Army before embarking on a career in construction health and safety in 2002. He is responsible for the strategic management of all areas of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.
Through Gary’s commitment and leadership, Clegg Construction has continued to maintain an above industry standard health and safety record, surpassed challenging waste recycling targets, enforced robust environmental safeguarding procedures and delivered client quality aspirations.
Gary holds a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health and is a Chartered Member of IOSH.
When he isn’t ensuring a safe and clean environment, Gary’s interests include travel, fishing and supporting local village activities.
