Supply Chain

The Clegg Construction supply chain management process is quality assured and audited in accordance with ISO 9001. Through a partnering approach, our supply chain forms an integral part of our operation and, as such, are treated as an extension of our own business and are expected to meet the same high standards.

Before accepting any supplier, we undertake a rigorous exercise to ensure each projects specific requirements are met, asking them to supply information regarding:

  • Health, safety and environmental records
  • Level of competence
  • Training records
  • Equality and diversity information
  • Financial stability
  • Current workload

We engage with all subcontractors as early as possible, facilitating partnership, collaboration and identification of innovative and best value solutions. Once on site, our entire workforce adopts our safety, environmental and quality procedures to ensure we act as one team – working towards the common goal of construction excellence.

Clegg Construction is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Click here to view our Policy.

Local Procurement

Clegg Construction promotes economic sustainability through local procurement. Much of our proven local supply chain has been an integral part of our successful delivery for many years, however we appreciate that there are many more well established local SMEs who have significant knowledge of the area, with locally based skilled resources to deliver effectively. For a recent scheme at Cantrell School in Nottingham, over 80p per £1 of sub contractor spend came from within 25 miles of the project's postcode.
