Safety

Clegg Construction operates an ISO 45001 accredited Health and Safety Management System incorporating a Group Health and Safety Policy.

We effectively plan, coordinate, manage and carry out all works safely, mitigating any risk associated with our work through a positive approach to safety. Our approach to safety is embedded by our Managing Director and supported by an in-house health and safety team.

Our culture is to think and plan safely before we even start on site – we firmly believe anyone who comes in to contact with a Clegg Construction site should avoid harm and go home safely.

The prevention and reduction of accidents is supported by specialist training. All Site Managers have received training in construction safety management. They take responsibility for managing all works in accordance with our safety procedures, and in line with CDM Regulations 2015.

RoSPA

Our firm commitment and focus on health and safety has been commended by RoSPA, who have awarded us a Gold Award continually since 2008.

Continuous improvement and innovation forms a part of our safety culture and management systems, we regularly monitor, audit, inspect, investigate and review our own performance and establish a site specific safety committee for each project.

Managing challenging environments

We are able to adapt our safety procedures to each environment we work in. We are expert in delivering construction projects in live environments, schools and colleges, city centre landscapes, secure compounds and care facilities and as such have developed procedures to ensure we minimise disruption whilst keeping everyone affected by our works safe.
